Contents: Silver sulfadiazine

Indication/Uses: Prevention & treatment of infection in severe burns; leg ulcers, where infection may prevent healing & for the prophylaxis of infection in skin grafting. Superficial Aspergillus infections.

Dosage/Direction for Use: Apply daily approx 3-5 mm thick w/ a sterile gloved hand or spatula. May be dressed or left open.

Special Precaution: Monitor for sensitivity reactions. Adequate fluid intake & acid-base balances. Discontinue use if sensitization or irritation occurs. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions: Delayed separation of the scar & fungal invasion of the wound may occur. Local pain or irritation. Argyria (when applied to a large area of wounds over prolonged periods).
